Explorely Private Limited ("Explorely", "we", "us", or "our") is a company incorporated in India (CIN: U62010TS2026PTC212952) and operates the Explorely mobile application — a gamified city exploration platform available on iOS and Android. Our registered office is at Plot No. 29, Papireddy Colony, Shankarpalli, Rangareddy, Telangana, India — 501203.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, username, and password (stored in hashed form). You may optionally add a profile photo.

Location Data

Explorely uses your device location to power city quests, verify check-ins, and calculate distances. Location access is requested at the time of use and can be revoked from your device settings at any time.

Usage & Activity Data

We collect data about your in-app activity including quests completed, cities visited, XP earned, leaderboard position, and app interaction patterns. This data is used to personalise your experience and improve our platform.

Device Information

We collect device identifiers, operating system version, app version, and crash logs to ensure technical stability and improve performance.

Communications

If you contact us by email or through in-app support, we retain the content of your communications to respond to your queries.

3. How We Use Your Information

Operating the Platform

We use your data to create and manage your account, track quest progress, calculate leaderboard rankings, and deliver rewards and notifications.

Improving the App

Aggregated and anonymised usage data helps us understand how users interact with Explorely, identify bugs, and prioritise new features.

Communications

We may send you transactional emails (account verification, password reset), service updates, and — where you have opted in — promotional communications. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Safety & Security

We monitor for fraudulent activity, cheating on leaderboards, and misuse of the platform to protect the integrity of the Explorely community.

4. Data Sharing

We Do Not Sell Your Data

Explorely does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for commercial purposes.

Service Providers

We share data with carefully selected service providers who assist in operating our infrastructure (cloud hosting, analytics, error monitoring). All providers are bound by confidentiality agreements and are only permitted to process your data on our behalf.

Legal Obligations

We may disclose your information when required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or where necessary to protect the rights and safety of Explorely or its users.

Public Leaderboard

Your username, profile photo (if set), and leaderboard rank are visible to other users of the app. You can adjust your display name and profile photo from account settings.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law or legitimate business interests (such as fraud prevention records).

To request account deletion, email adrien@explorely.app with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".

6. Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS), hashed password storage, and restricted access controls. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. You may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, write to us at adrien@explorely.app.

8. Children's Privacy

Explorely is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at adrien@explorely.app and we will delete such information promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via email or in-app notification. Continued use of Explorely after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
